Services for Homeowners

Whether you are thinking about a small extension, reworking the layout of your home, or looking at a new-build house, I can help you turn early ideas into a clear and carefully considered design.

I enjoy working with homeowners to make the most of the space they already have, improve how a home feels and works, and find practical design solutions that suit everyday life. That might mean opening up a kitchen and dining space, bringing in more natural light, improving the connection to the garden, finding better storage, or exploring how an extension could sit comfortably alongside the existing building.

Every project starts with a conversation about how you live, what is not working at the moment and what you would like the project to achieve. From there, I will conduct an initial measured survey (a surveyor may be required for more complex projects) to help develop design options in 3D, prepare existing and proposed drawings, guide you through planning or building warrant requirements, and support the project as it moves towards construction.

I can help you with:

  • Early design ideas for your home improvements and extensions

  • Internal bespoke joinery, storage and built-in furniture design

  • Advising on other consultants that may be required for your project

  • Planning information, drawings and applications

  • Conservation Area and Listed Building Consents

  • Building Warrant information, drawings and applications

  • Advising on sustainable and energy-conscious design

  • Producing information for tendering your project and support with appointing a suitable contractor

  • Contract administration or a consultant role during construction
